The correct care and maintenance of protective clothing for agricultural chemical users is an important health and safety measure and is applicable for all clothing that is subjected to chemical contamination. Regular cleaning of garments after use will reduce the chance of contamination from a build up of chemical residue. A build up of residue may degrade properties of fabrics and reduce effective protection and life of garments, unless removed with regular cleaning.

We recommend the following procedure for StormPro apparel which may be adapted to suit your user conditions or application. Please read the care labels inside the garments before use.

STEP1: DECONTAMINATION - PRE RINSE WASH DOWN

Thoroughly rinse the garment before removal. Remove immediately if damaged or contaminated and dispose of in a safe manner.

STEP2: WASH REGULARLY

WASH CYCLE - Hand or machine wash in warm water with mild detergent. We DO NOT recommend detergents for cold water washing of clothing as they can damage the fabric coating. The recommended detergents are those used for washing woollen garments.

RINSE CYCLE - Thoroughly rinse inside and out to ensure the removal of all detergent residues. Unless the garment is rinsed thoroughly detergent residues could cause skin irritation. Washing machines and laundry basins must be rinsed with hot water and detergent before being used again.

DRYING CYCLE - Drip dry after washing. Do Not Spin Dry. NOTE: The garment needs to be completely dry before re-use and before storage.

STEP 3: INSPECTION

Inspect garments visually for tears, damage to the coating or seams seals on a regular basis. The life of StormPro apparel depends on the correct and regular care and the frequency of use. If your garment becomes badly damaged or contaminated it should be disposed of in a safe manner.

STEP4:STORAGE

Fluorescent colours fade when exposed to sunlight. A few of hours of exposure will cause a noticeable fading of flouro colours. DO NOT store your garment in a soiled or damp condition because this will effect the life of the fabric and it's properties.

LIMITED PROTECTION

For use with water based pesticides spray drift/ splashes only. Not recommended for contact with dyes, solvent based chemicals, alkaline or acid based chemicals. DO NOT use for high pressure spray, large spills, overflow, highly toxic or hazardous chemicals. Always read manufacturers labels prior to use to ensure adequate protection. Made from l 00% Polyester Outer with l 00% PU Inner. DO NOT use when exposed to flame, undue heat or potentially xplosive
environments.
