John Bull Footwear's history can be traced back to 1934 when the Daisley bootmaking family created the boots for New Zealand's fast expanding industrial and farming markets.
• Won contract to supply the New Zealand armed forces in World War 11.
• OPSM Protector acquired the company in 1981.
• Became the New Zealand market leader in industrial footwear.
• OPSM Protector acquired Dunlop Industrial footwear in 1996.
• Launched trans Tasman John Bull Footwear Group in 1997.
• Acquired by Blundstone New Zealand in June 2000.
Today John Bull is New Zealand's leading and most respected boot brand.
